Belarus: Situation In the Field of National Security and Defense as of January 2016

The most important event of January was the comprehensive inspection of the Armed Forces. The issues of strengthening protection of the state border by the army were discussed as part of the inspection. The measures were taken for staffing with the reservists of the Special Operation Forces. In the Vitebsk region, the 103rd mobile brigade completed the task of defeating the conditional illegal group armed with “lightly armored and other equipment.”
