Belarus: Situation In the Field of National Security and Defense as of October 2016

2016-11_belarus-security-and-defense-october2016_pb-engAt the CSTO summit in Yerevan, Belarus took the chairmanship in this organisation; the CSTO Collective Security Strategy till 2025 was adopted. During his visit to Poland, Vladimir Makey said that Belarus did not consider the extension of NATO presence in the Baltic states and Poland as a direct threat. In Washington, a joint statement on cooperation between the Ministries of Defense of Belarus and the United States was signed, as well as the bilateral military cooperation plan for 2017.
